To be fair, it was both Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum who came out in support of Marco Rubio’s Senate candidacy well before Newt Gingrich did, and Gingrich actually hedged his support for Rubio during the campaign and referred to Charlie Crist as a “very solid political figure”-

For the record, there are also several ex-Rubio staffers and close supporters that are working on Romney’s campaign, and Rubio’s entire communications staff were all part of Romney’s presidential campaign in 2008. Bottom line- there are much more important issues confronting the fate of the Republic than the behind the scenes musical chairs of political professionals.
