It is no secret that Congressman Allen West(R-FL) and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) are not going to be rubbing elbows in the Congressional cafeteria anytime soon. Just weeks ago, Wasserman Schultz called out West on the House Floor which prompted West to reply back with a blistering email that Wasserman-Schultz subsequently released to the media and made national headlines. The tiff between the two members of Congress stems back to when Wasserman Schultz held her very own “Tea Party” inspired event in front of West’s campaign office where she clearly impugned West’s character.
At a Fort Lauderdale Tea Party social even earlier today, one of West’s constituents recalled a moment in Congressman West’s D.C. office where West was able to convince his friend (a former staunch supporter of Wasserman-Schultz) to become a Republican with just four simple words.
