Former West Palm Beach Mayor and current Congressional candidate Lois Frankel has been trying to clean up her campaign’s embarrassing financial reporting that were on display in last quarter’s April filing. Frankel was hit with a formal Federal Elections Commission (FEC) complaint for failing to properly report disbursements made by her campaign. But the Frankel campaign’s financial fun-n-games continue to raise eyebrows, as a new possible cover-up has been discovered in her latest campaign reporting. The campaign has filed an amendment her April filing subsequent to the FEC complaint filed against her that forced her campaign to admit that it either was caught making a mistake or purposely withholding information from the FEC. Her amendment report stated an ‘in-kind’ contribution of $513.75 made by herself to help pay for the incorporation of her campaign committee and the campaign’s phone bill.
In the campaign’s July report, it states that staffer Craig Auster was reimbursed $2589.45 for airfare, car rental, and postal supplies. What is interesting about the reimbursement is that the $168 in postal supplies were for a Post Office Box being rented, presumably by the campaign, but Frankel should have added this P.O. Box disbursement to the amended April financial report. You can call it a petty detail, but a pattern of sloppy accounting practices seems to be this campaign’s calling card..
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
