Congressman Allen West has a growing base of support that is national in scope, and that was evident last week as South Dakota State Senator Dan Lederman ventured south to attend one of Congressman West’s townhall meetings. Lederman is only 1 of 3 Jewish Senators in the state of South Dakota, and while he told me he is focused on re-election, my sharky senses tell me that he is looking to run for higher office. Senator Lederman is also part of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) along with House Majority Whip Eric Cantor. Lederman also indicated that he is supporting fellow RJC member Adam Hasner in next year’s 2012 U.S. Senate race here in Florida.
