Is Mark Foley Considering a Return to Politics?
By Javier Manjarres
With all of the talk of reapportionment and potential candidacies swirling around the rumor mill, one name that is kicking around again used to be synonymous with Florida politics, and that name is former Congressman Mark Foley. Foley is rumored to be interested in running for Mayor of West Palm Beach, and his internal polls conducted show that he could very well win that Mayoral race. I spoke to Congressman Foley earlier today, and asked him the same question I asked him a couple months ago- will you make a run at Congress again?Foley suggested that he is still interested in serving as a Congressman by stating, “ my passion has always been in D.C.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
With about 1.3 million dollars residing in his federal congressional campaign account (money that could only be utilized for federal elections), Foley has the means to mount a comeback. The open questions are- does he truly have the desire to return, and will he be embraced by the public once again after leaving Congress under such ? Either way, Foley is considering the notion of returning to Congress. Stay tuned for more developments.
