In my recent mini-media opportunity with Democrat Gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink, a self-professed “fiscal conservative”, Sink reiterated her support of the Bush-era tax cuts that are set to expire at the end of 2010. As President Obama’s popularity numbers have dropped, many Democrat politicos that are in fear of losing their seats this year have come out against the President in his promise to not extend the Bush Tax cuts. Kudos here to Alex Sink for thinking about helping small business, but her commitment to “fiscal conservatism” is highly suspect considering how Sink embraced the failed Obama stimulus bill and the notorious ObamaCare bill that passed this year.
Sink joins Marco Rubio, her opponent Rick Scott and other Republicans in supporting the extension of the Bush Tax cuts. One can only wonder about how progressive Democrats across Florida are feeling about Sink’s admission that Bush’s tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 not only should be extended, but were the right thing to do in the first place?
