JEB BUSH BACKS BAXLEY
OCALA, Fla. — Today, the Dennis Baxley Campaign announced the endorsement of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. The endorsement comes on the heels of a $34,000 fundraising quarter and the endorsement of numerous other GOP leaders.
“Dennis Baxley is a thoughtful and committed conservative,” said Governor Bush. “Baxley’s principles define his politics, and his word is his bond. Dennis is the kind of ethical leader Floridians can count on.”Baxley, who is the sole Republican in the race, is set to face Democrat Michael Hageloh in November’s general election.
“Governor Bush is a great friend to Florida and a mentor to those of us in public service,” said Baxley. “It is the highest of honors to have his endorsement.”
Governor Bush and Representative Baxley served Florida together from 2000 until 2006 when Bush’s term as Governor expired. Baxley later served as Speaker Pro Tem of the Florida House of Representatives.
