Governor Crist to run as a Democrat?
Davie,FL- Governor Charlie Crist visited the McFatter Vocational School this morning to express his gratitude for the support he has received from Teachers and their unions for vetoing SB6. I spoke to several students that were holding up ‘thank you’ signs to Governor Crist, and it wasn’t surprising to learn from them that the Broward Teachers Union (BTU) was in attendance and selected which students should hold the signs. The Union representatives in attendance made it very clear to me that they were the ones who told the kids to hold up signs, thus supporting the students’ claims. It’s nice to see that the Teacher’s Union does not engage in age-based discrimination, and is more than happy to use children as political props for their own selfish political reasons. Bravo BTU, woo hooo!
I asked School Board member Kevin Tynan as to whether he will continue to endorse the Governor if he makes the leap to run as an Independent or NPA in the Senate race. Tynan answered ” I swore an oath to the Republican Party.”
The Governor’s remarks were very short and sweet, nothing noteworthy to report. Crist simply thanked everyone in attendance and took pictures with the hundreds of students and well-wishers.
