Carlos Curbelo has been at the forefront of promoting climate change and clean energy awareness in the sunshine state, and he’s also now received an endorsement from the Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions in his re-election bid in Florida’s 26th congressional district.
Heather Reams, CRES’s Managing Director praised Curbelos’ efforts by commenting that “Rep. Carlos Curbelo has made focusing on common-sense, clean energy solutions that grow the economy, strengthen America’s national security, and preserve the quality of our natural environment a hallmark of his time in the House.”
In addition, she also mentioned that “Rep. Curbelo has demonstrated a commitment to promoting clean energy technology as a member of the House Clean Energy and Innovation Working Group. CRES is proud to formally endorse Carlos Curbelo in his re-election bid for U.S. House in Florida’s 26th District.”
In response to the endorsement, Curbelo detailed that “In South Florida, issues like sea level rise and water quality aren’t just about our environment. They’re essential to our way of life and the continued growth and viability of our economy.”
Curbelo also noted that “I’m proud of my work to break through the polarization and build bipartisan consensus on renewable energy development and new technologies. These efforts will directly address the threats climate change and sea level rise pose to our local and national environment. I am honored to have the endorsement of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions and look forward to continuing this important work.”
