The table is set for one of the biggest senatorial slugfests in modern American political history, as Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Sen.Bill Nelson continue to shape up their respective campaigns for the now-inevitable show down that will take place later this year.
This is the strongest opposition Nelson has ever faced, and with millions of dollars backing his campaign, not to mention the incredible job he has done for the state of Florida, it is fair to say that Rick Scott is sitting in the pole position.Scott’s job creation bona fides are beyond reproach, and his message less government and lower taxes has resonated with many Americans across the country. Remember, Nelson voted against the popular tax reform law that President Trump signed and Scott supported.
While Nelson has worked with Republican Senator Marco Rubio on many important and pressing issues, his record of supporting the entire failed Obama agenda, including his support and vote in favor of Obamacare, the 2009 Stimulus Act, and tax increases, will be scrutinized.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The so-called “Blue Wave” Democrats are touting has shown signs of weakness, and from the looks of it, Republicans like Scott could be the sand bars that breaks its supposed forward momentum.
I'm proud of the work we've done to unleash small businesses from burdensome taxes and regulation that were holding our economy back. I can't wait to take these principles to the U.S. Senate. pic.twitter.com/9ufIR1aamD
