The 2018 gubernatorial race in Florida is right around the corner and the list of potential candidates, both Republican and Democrat, is starting to pile up.
Republicans AG Commissioner Adam Putnam, Speaker Richard Corcoran, Sen. Jack Latvala (laughable) have all showed interest in following in Gov. Rick Scott’s footsteps.
Florida Trial lawyer, marijuana man extraordinaire, and money bags John Morgan, is mulling over a run for governor.
Morgan can self-fund a run for office, making him the most attractive of all potential Democratic gubernatorial candidates.
But now Palm Beach billionaire Jeff Greene, who spent $23 million of his own pesos in a losing Senate bid in 2010, is considering a run for the highest job in the state.
“I’ve been approached by a lot of people, and I’ve had conversations with people that have approached me.”-Jeff Greene
The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that Greene is said to be talking to consultants about a possible candidacy for governor.
