And then there was one.
That is, there is one viable Republican presidential candidate left in the 2016 race for the White House.Senator Ted Cruz has gracefully bowed out of the race after losing big in Indiana, a state Cruz was expected to win.
“I said I would continue on as long as there was a viable path to victory. Tonight, I’m sorry to say it appears that path has been foreclosed.” -Sen. Ted Cruz
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Cruz beat the odds in staying in the race as long as he did, as detractors from both sides of the political aisle labeled him as a “crazy” man who could not play nice, and lacked the temperament to be President.
Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Cruz outlasted GOP favorites Senator Marco Rubio, Dr. Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and others, even as many Rubiobots and Bush supporters said that Cruz would do poorly in the primary. They were wrong.
To his credit, Trump called Cruz’s move to announce that he was suspending his campaign “brave,” and one hell of a competitor.
Thank you Ted for running on you values and principles. You did us all proud.
