Senator Marco Rubio is once again pushing his hawkish foreign policy bona fides, this time taking the stage at a rally in Miami, Florida to make it very clear to everyone that he intends to keep the prison on Guantanamo Bay open for business, if he becomes President of the United States.
While Rubio (like most Americans) is a big proponent “neutralizing” radical Islamic terrorists, the junior Senator from Florida and 2016 presidential hopeful stated that if terrorists are caught alive, they would be sent to the prison, and not brought to the U.S. and afforded the same legal rights that are available U.S. citizens or residents.“If we catch these terrorists alive, they’re not going to get a lawyer. They’re not going to read their Miranda rights. They’re not going to wind up in a courtroom at night in front of a judge. Here’s where they’re going to go: They’re going to go to Guantanamo Bay Cuba … Let me very clear right now. There’s cameras. I want them to get this: We are keeping Guantanamo.” That was Rubio’s biggest applause line in Miami.-Politico
Rubio, who supports the use of advanced interrogation techniques against terrorists, should vocalize his position more.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Americans enjoy hearing about the many different forms interrogation techniques being employed to cause much-deserved pain against those who are trying to kill them.
