The upcoming GOP presidential debate on December 15 in Las Vegas, Nevada, could turn out to be a turning point for several, if not for all of the candidates vying to win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, who are currently trading political punches, have both enjoyed an increase in the polls after good debate performances, while Dr. Ben Carson has seen his polling numbers steadily drop over the past three debates.Trump, who is the frontrunner in the race, has also done well in polls following the debate.
This upcoming debate could very much set the tone going into the end of the year, as the focus of the race turns completely to Iowa come January.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The latest Quinnipiac Poll shows that Trump continues to rise, as well as Carson showing that his campaign has seen better days. If both Rubio and Cruz shine again at the upcoming Las Vegas debate, their performances could move them firmly past Carson in second place behind Trump.
Rubio is already polling second to Trump in the Quinnipiac Poll, and Cruz is tied with Carson for third, but is only one percentage point behind Rubio.
On my most recent appearance on NewsmaxTV, my amigo Ed Pozzuli and I talked about the race. Ed is on Team Bush, and believes that Bush can still pull it off because he has the campaign organization in place.I stated that Rubio’s message “transcends across political party lines” but his biggest challenge will be getting past the fact that he embraced President Obama’s agenda when he backed amnesty for illegal immigration.
Pozzuoli stated that he believes Rubio could get past the immigration problem if he has the organization in place.
We both agree that Trump will be tough to beat.
