Without a doubt, Donald Trump continues to lead the field of Republican candidates vying to win the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination, but Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are not all that far behind him.
Depending on which poll you look at, all of them have Trump enjoying a huge lead over the entire field, but Rubio and Carson are switching off for second place.Rubio has been rising ever since the last GOP debate, but so has Cruz, who trails Rubio by 2-3 percentage points in all of these state and national polls.
The most recent Fox News poll in New Hampshire has Trump at 23 percent, with Rubio and Carson tied for second at 13 percent. Cruz is right behind them with 10 percent.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Yes,Carson is in second, but how long will this last?
It is clear to anyone paying attention to this race that Evangelicals, who did not come out to vote for Mitt Romney in 2012, are firmly behind Carson. Carson’s Fox Business debate performance however, showed a weakness in his political armor, as the former neurosurgeon struggled to answer certain questions, leaving many to believe that perhaps he is not ready for primetime politics.
Appearing on Fox News’ “The Factor” with Bill O’Reilly, Carson conveyed that same soft-voiced and passive demeanor that has won him incredible support among Republicans and Conservatives, but in my opinion, Carson does not instill the confidence that Americans have been longing for every since President Obama took office seven years ago.Carson sounding unsure about how to deal with ISIS, O’Reilly promptly ripped into him for coming across just like the rest of the field for not giving “specifics” about how to deal with radical Islamists.
Carson believes that the U.S. needs to “destroy the oil fields or take them,” adding that the Kurds needed to be given a bigger roll in this fight.
After all but being coached by O’Reilly to agree with him that a formal NATO declaration of war against ISIS needed to be made, Carson stated he didn’t oppose the move, adding that allies in the Middle East needed to be brought into the fold,
As O’Reilly pointed out, attacks against NATO nations are the whole reason why NATO was even created.
Again, will Americans continue to support Carson over Cruz, Trump and Rubio, who sound much more forceful and hawkish in rooting out and neutralizing radical Islam, than Dr. Carson?
