Former President Bill Clinton has come out swinging in defense of his wife, Hillary Clinton, accusing Republicans of targeting her 2016 presidential campaign by making much of nothing about her email scandal.
With his wife’s public opinion and favorability poll numbers dropping like a rock, Clinton said the GOP is conducting a “full-scale frontal assault” on his wife’s presidential campaign, dismissing the email controversy as a nothing more than sideshow.“I have never seen so much expended on so little…The other party doesn’t want to run against her. And if they do, they’d like her as mangled up as possible.”-Bill Clinton on CNN
Clinton says that she hasn’t broken any rules or laws by doing government business on her own personal server, only admitting that she made a mistake, leading many Americans, especially Democrats, to lose trust in her candidacy.

Clinton also, believe it or not, blames Hillary’s press office (the Media) of trying to sink her campaign.
“You know, at the beginning of the year, she was the most admired person in public life,” he said. “What happened? The presidential campaign happened. And the nature of the coverage shifted from issue-based to political.”
What will be very interesting will be to see what were in all of those deleted emails that Clinton deleted, even after she stated that she turned over her “full record full record of her work-related correspondence as the country’s top diplomat.”
Their existence challenges her claim that she has handed over the entirety of her work emails from the account.
“I think that there are lots of people who wanted there to be a race for different reasons,” Bill Clinton said. “And they thought the only way they could make it a race was a full-scale frontal assault on her. And so this email thing became the biggest story in the world.-Fox
