Unlike in 2010, the 2016 Senate race in Florida is a toss up- both Republicans and Democrats candidate are virtual unknowns to voters.
Democrat firebrand Rep. Alan Grayson is beating Rep. Patrick Murphy in the latest Public Policy Polling poll by a 33 to 27 percent margin, with 39 percent of voters still undecided who they will vote for.As far as the field of Republican Senate candidates go, Rep. David Jolly (18%) is only beating Rep. Ron DeSantis (15%) by 3 percentage points.
Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera (14%) trails DeSantis by 1 percent, making this primary race an even tie.

Jolly lead is probably because of all of the national attention his 2014 special election, and then general election, received during that election cycle.
DeSantis is considered the all around conservative in the race, but Lopez-Cantera, Jolly, and Todd Wilcox (pictured), are all making the case for their respective conservative bona fides.
