The war of words continue between Republican presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Jeb Bush.
We can expect Trump to lash out against Jeb because he’s been doing so since the beginning of the year, but Jeb is now taking shots at Trump.First of all, are Trump’s poignant attacks against Bush payback for Bush shooting down his Florida casino dreams when he was governor of the state?
Bush has pivoted away from his “joyful tortoise” campaign, and is hitting Trump hard.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Bush responded to Trump’s recent attack against him over immigration reform, where Trump focused on his past “act of love statement.
Here is Trump’s attack ad against Bush:
Bush countered with a video montage of past Trump TV clips of him sounded very liberal and aligning himself more with the Democratic Party.
Here is that attack ad:
This ad could be effective in knocking Trump a bit, but the problem Bush and the rest of the GOP field, minus Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson, have is that Americans are fed up with political speak.
Americans seem to want a non-politician like Trump, Carson, or Fiorina.Regardless if this is the case, Republican voters also want someone they can trust, and Bush little montage of Trump past statements could prove to be effective when Republicans actually go to the polls to vote.
The most recent 2016 Republican presidential polls have Trump trouncing the entire GOP field. Trump holds a nationwide average lead of 14.5 percent according to Real Clear Politics. Trump currently has 26 percent of support among Republicans, while Dr. Ben Carson, who has shot up to second place has 12 percent support. Jeb Bush has dropped to 9.5 percent, followed by Ted Cruz with 7 percent.
In the meantime, we should all stock up on microwaveable popcorn. This presidential primary race is just getting started.
