During a recent rally held at Nova University in Davie, Florida by the influential pro-Israel group, AIPAC, Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-FL) became the latest high profile member of Congress to denounce President Barack Obama’s controversial Iran nuclear deal.
Hasting, who divulged that he had a deep-rooted past of support all things Israel, citing that he even once worked as a dishwasher in a Jewish restaurant in Margate, Florida, a city in which he now represents. We cut down this Shark Tank exclusive audio recording of Hastings’ 27-minute speech against the deal to his most interesting and poignant statements and declarations.
Hasting started out by saying that once the Congress was back in session this September, he would “introduce legislation that will call Obama and his successor to use whatever force or action is necessary, because Iran reaffirmed that under no circumstances, that they will ever seek to develop or acquire any nuclear weapons.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
In addition, Hastings pointed out that the original congressional “framework” of the deal with Iran has long been forgotten, and questioned the negotiating tactics of Secretary of State John Kerry, saying that he would made the release of the American hostages held in Iran, part of the deal.
Hastings also questioned how negotiations could take place with people who can dictate to him how “no American scientist can be part of the IAEA inspections team” when it came to “inspection and verification.”If I was at table, what would I have led with. What I would have led with is, ‘ you need to give me good faith gesture now, and that is, release the three hostages,” adding that “when the Iran deal commenced, the world found out that Iran had the capability of building 1 to 10 nuclear weapons in a 2 to 3 month span. What in the hell is going to make us they aren’t going to cheat again?”-Rep. Alcee Hastings (D)
But Hastings ripping of the nuclear deal didn’t stop there, as the long-time congressman questioned the economic motives of the so-called P 5 allies, saying that he “feels very strongly that some of are allies are a bit untrustworthy.”
In defense of Israel, Hasting believes that the U.S. should help bolster Israel’s defenses by sending them “David’s Sling,” which is a derivative of the Iron Dome,” as well as proposes that the U.S. send Israel “bunker buster bombs now.”
Did Hastings just state that he approves an Israeli-preemptive strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities? I think so.
LISTEN TO THE AUDIOThe president recently said that the people that supported the Iraq war are the same people that are in alliance with the Ayatollah and his functionaries, he did not say it that way, but you get my drift. I did not vote for the Iraq war Mr. President, and I am going to vote against your Iranian deal.-Rep. Alcee Hastings (D)
