Republican United States Congressman, Mark Meadows (NC-R) introduced a resolution on Tuesday to oust John Boehner as reported by The Hill.
The motion to “vacate the chair” represents a dramatic escalation of the feud between the House conservatives and Boehner.Meadows was one of the members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus who was stripped of his Oversight subcommittee position last month after voting against a procedural measure to bring up a trade package.
He was later reinstated by Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (UT-R) after it was made public.

When it comes to the motion Meadows said:
In his resolution, Meadows argues Boehner has been “bypassing the majority” through centralized decision making. It also says he has been punishing members who “vote according to their conscience,” he limits amendments on the House floor and does not give lawmakers enough time to review legislation before votes. It’s really more about trying to have a conservative on making this place work, where everybody’s voice matters, where there’s not a punitive culture.
Meadows also insisted he was not trying to bring attention to himself. He just wants to do what is right.
He said:
I don’t like being in the limelight. It is fearful whenever you do something like this.
FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon agrees wholeheartedly with Meadows. He said:
Every time defenders of freedom need a leader, John Boehner has failed us. It’s time to remove Boehner from the speakership before it’s too late to pass bold reforms. It’s time to end the Boehner Blunder.
