Billionaire Donald Trump, is neck-and-neck with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush atop the field of 2016 Republican presidential candidates.
A recent online Reuters poll shows that 16.1 percent of the “self-identified Republicans” polled support Bush, and 15.8 percent support Trump.Bush and Trump are in a dead heat.
While Trump did great in this poll, if you throw Senator Marco Rubio into the mix, Trump’s support drops, while Bush’s rises.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Even as Bush would get 42 percent of the vote, per the Reuters poll, Trump still edges Rubio by 8 percentage points.
Trump’s support over Rubio could very well because of the Republican public perception that Rubio is soft on immigration.
We all know how Trump feels about illegal immigration. You can read about that here. But Rubio, who was once considered a hawk on immigration, has since change his stance on the issue since being sworn into office in 2010.
His evolving immigration position(s) have made millions of would-be voters very weary about the fact that he supports a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
Advantage: Jeb Bush
