Texas Senator and potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, will be in Jacksonville, Florida this Friday to deliver the keynote address at the annual Duval County GOP Lincoln Day dinner.
Cruz, who some expect will run for president in 2016, has made several stops in Florida over the past year, driving the speculation that he is seriously eyeing a run in 2016, and might see Florida as the key to the Republican nomination for president.
Cruz had to scrub a January trip to Naples, Florida because of a scheduling conflict, will be back in Palm Beach, Florida next week to talk shop with Club for Growth members, before flying back to Washington, D.C. to address the CPAC crowd.
Floridians, namely grassroots conservatives, have been warming up to Cruz over the past couple of years since Senator Marco Rubio fell out of favor with them after cosponsoring the controversial Senate immigration reform bill in 2013.
