Florida Congressman Alan Grayson (D) has once again taken it upon himself to equate Americans to Islamic terrorists, or some other radical group or movement.
In an interview with Thom Hartmann of ‘The Big Picture,” Grayson echoed what House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) by questioning the entire military strategy against the radical Islamic terrorist group, ISIS, or Islamic State.
Here is what Grayson said:
“As Leader Pelosi often says, ‘Everyone thinks that one more act of violence will end violence for all time, and it never does,’” he said. “In fact, there is no way to win this that is something that we would regard as even acceptable to us on a moral level.”“Of course we have the ability to go ahead and de[tps_title][/tps_title]stroy ISIS – we could turn Iraq and Syria into molten glass. But that’s something that’s beneath us. That’s something that shows that the terrorists would have won, because at that point, we would be them.”
How exactly would the U.S. turn Iraq and Syria “into molten glass” when using conventional and smart weaponry to combat the Islamic State?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
It is obvious that Grayson is most likely referring to the U.S. using nuclear weapons against ISIS, a move that would cause incredible collateral damage and turn those two Middle Eastern countries into “molten glass.”
The U.S. is not going to nuke anyone.
Many will agree with Grayson that the U.S. should stay out of any and all ongoing foreign civil wars, especially those that stem almost entirely from religion. The war that the Shias and Sunnis are fighting, much like the current war on global Islamic terrorisms, is religious or holy war.
“Are we willing to involve ourselves in a 1,200-year civil war to the point where we win for one side or the other, or do we simply say, ‘It’s not our problem?’”
