Florida Gov. Rick Scott has signed another death warrant, this time it was for convicted murderer and rapist Johnny Shane Kormondy, who killed a Pensacola man and raped his wife in 1993. Kormondy’s date with Satan is on Jan. 15, 2015.
Here how Scott’s office summarized the just reasoning for issuing the death warrant:Shortly after returning home from his wife Cecelia’s high-school reunion late in the evening on July 11, 1993, Gary McAdams was confronted at his front door by Kormondy and two accomplices, who forced themselves into the home. Kormondy and his accomplices ransacked the home and repeatedly raped Mrs. McAdams.
Kormondy shot Mr. McAdams in the back of the head, killing him. Kormondy was the leader of the attack on Mr. and Mrs. McAdams, having recruited the accomplices, provided the transportation, and surveilled the McAdams’ neighborhood prior to the attack. Kormondy also threatened to kill witnesses who testified at his trial, including Mrs. McAdams, if he were ever released.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
According to the Tampa Bay Times, Kormondy, 42, “was convicted of first-degree murder and three counts of sexual battery,” and “has spent half of his life on Death Row at Florida State Prison in Starke.”
The Times also pointed out that this would be Scott’s 21st death warrant, tying the number of death warrants former Republican Gov. Jeb Bush signed during his eight years as governor.
I am pretty sure that Scott would love to be the one who actually pricks this guy with the needle.
