Republican Governor’s Association Chairman Chris Christie got a little testy with reporters at the RGA meeting in Florida, after being pressed several times about his possible run for President of the United States in 2016.
In typical Christie fashion, the New Jersey governor had a little fun with those mean media types, but then reiterated what he has said before, and echoed what Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said the other day, in that governor’s are better equipped to be President of the United States than any legislature.Could we see a sort of political catfight in the works between governors and senators, who are weighing potential presidential candidacies?
I think that we are better at it, than people who do not have experience in running large enterprises, and so, I think that it will be (next President) a governor because the American people are done with that experiment of having somebody coming out of the legislative body whose never run anything before, running the biggest most complex government in the world.-Gov. Chris Christie
