With the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of Hobby Lobby and finding that no employer should be forced to adhere to the Obamacare contraceptive mandate, it was only a matter of time before politicians like Charlie Crist started fundraising off the decision.
Shortly after the SCOTUS ruled on the contraceptive mandate case, Crist put out a fundraising ask calling the decision a “harsh and unfortunate reminder that elections have consequences.”Crist added that Americans needed to “keep fighting for the values” they shared, and even took a jab at Florida Governor Rick Scott by saying that things “could get worse” under his leadership, and that would lose healthcare coverage for contraceptives.
Not too sure that the majority of Americans like to be forced to do something they do not want to do.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
So according to Crist, if you donate $1 to his campaign, Florida could have a rosier future under his watch.
Here is Crist’s fundraising email:
Friend —This morning, the Supreme Court decided to insert an employer into a personal decision that women should be able to make without interference. Contraception could be more expensive and less available for Florida women.
It could get worse. As bad as this decision is, if Rick Scott had his way, not only would contraception not be covered in Florida — hundreds of thousands of women would lose their coverage.
Today’s decision is a harsh and unfortunate reminder that elections have consequences.
We have to protect the progress we’ve made, and we have to keep fighting for the values we share.
Giving $1 or more before our critical midnight deadline will go a long way:https://donate.charliecrist.com/Hobby-Lobby
God bless you,
