Republican congressional candidate David Jolly, has just released an internal poll campaign conducted, showing him with has a five point lead over Democratic congressional candidate Alex Sink, in the upcoming special election in Florida’s 13th congressional district.
Jolly, a Washington,D.C. lobbyist and former legal counsel to former Congressman Bill Young, easily won the Republican primary race a couple weeks back, but had to expend much of the campaign contributions he raised to do so. Jolly will probably not have to worry about the raising more cash to fund his campaign, as the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), who plans to retain this Republican-held seat, and has already committed to make sure Jolly wins in March. While Jolly’s opponent, Alex Sink, will have a lot of money to paint Jolly as a typical lobbyist, her biggest obstacles(s) will be the failed economic policies she has already tied herself to.
On her campaign website, Alex Sink bashed the roll out of President Obama’s Affordable Healthcare Act, saying that the “implementation” of the law was “unacceptable,” saying that Obama needed to be “held accountable,” and be pressed to make the “necessary changes to fix any problems in the law.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Sink goes on to say that more delays are needed in the law’s implementation, if, the problems cannot me fixed, but never says that the law should be scrapped. Jolly on the other hand, is all for “full repeal” of the law, no questions asked.
“I, Alex Sink, pledge to put Pinellas over politics. The dysfunction and infighting in Washington has gone on long enough and the gridlock is hurting too many Americans.
We should focus on challenges that matter most to Pinellas: growing our economy, protecting seniors and veterans, and stopping the flood insurance spike.
The problem here for Sink is, the gridlock she speaks of is almost entirely caused by the one person who she has campaigned for, and the policies she is running on, that have proven to be a detriment to Americans, President Barack Obama.
But aside from wholeheartedly supporting Obamacare, Sink was one a big supporter of the President’s failed 2009 Stimulus Act.
Back when Sink was running for Governor of Florida against Rick Scott, we caught up to her in Sebring, Florida, and asked her about there support of the Stimulus plan. (Sink Sells Out To Ponzi Schemer Rothstein)
“I need you to raise money. I need you to walk and knock on doors. Whatever it takes, to make sure Alex Sink is the next governor of Florida.” Then a narrator adds, “Maybe that’s because Sink’s supported Obama’s government takeover of health care. Or because Sink supported Obama’s trillion-dollar stimulus bill, while it gave us big debts and no jobs. What will Obama do to make sure Sink is the next governor of Florida?” Obama’s voice again: “Whatever it takes.”-Tampa Bay Times
The question Floridians, or more specifically, voters in Pinellas County should be asking themselves is,” Is Alex Sink trustworthy enough to follow the rules, keep her word, and do the right thing for Americans, if elected to Congress?
That trustworthiness will be put into question, as this past video of her “cheating” during a gubernatorial debate against Rick Scott paints a whole other picture of her.
