***Update-The Islamic Republican Club coming to Broward County?

by Javier Manjarres

Nezar Hamze, the Florida Director of the Center for Islamic American Relations (CAIR) has told the Shark Tank that he intends  to join the local Broward Republican Executive Committee (BREC) and ask for a club charter to start the first ‘Islamic-Republican club’ in the county.  Hamze said that he spoke to Broward GOP Chairman Richard DeNapoli about his intentions and indicated that DeNapoli did not deny him the opportunity to start an Islamic-Republican club or join the committee.  Hamze is best known for his confrontation with Congressman Allen West earlier this year during which he questioned West with a Koran in hand asking him to point out verses in the Koran where it tells believers to “kill Americans”.

Hamze considers himself as being ‘very conservative’ and believes his political views are in-line with the Republican party’s political platform. The local GOP Chairman ran for his current position on a ‘GOP Unity’ platform, and said he would work with ‘all’ Republicans in the county.  The ‘big tent’ Broward Republican party already has a religion-based club/coalition, named the Broward Republican Jewish Outreach.  That begs the question- will there be an Broward Republican Islamic Outreach club in the near future?

***Update- Nezar Hamze has followed through with his intentions of joining the local REC by submitting his formal application to the BREC.

Hamze furnished the tracking number below, and cited that he would be shielding  his address for fear of reprisals by his detractors-

CAIR is following the pattern of the Radical Homosexuals. They join a group, which then losses it’s purpose for existing.

    • This is NUTS !!!!!

My buddy sent this to me –

May want to watch this insightful documentary.

Here’s another one. This was done by an Ex-CIA :-

Key thing to watch/listen for is the question the CIA Agent asks at 1:22:30 and the answer he gets from Mohammad Sharif.…its alarming that they are not satisfied with Sharia for themselves. They want Sharia applied on all. In the US the demand for Sharia is limited now but as their population grows, it becomes obvious that they will demand that for all.

In the UK they have already accepted Sharia for 3 regions and these kids you discussed below, would not be doing anything against that law in those regions.

    • kage

I agree. Why would the Broward Republican Executive Committee allow this radical idiot to join their committee? If they do allow this idiot to join they deserve all that’s coming to them. You and me and every other non-Muslim cannot trust a Muslim. Any Muslim. If you read the Trilogy of Islam you will agree. Islam’s followers have murdered and subjugated tens of millions of non-believers over the past 1300 + years because their civilization commands them to do so. Many early converts to Islam were the children of unbelievers murdered during Jihad. Beware the political arms of Islam: Jihad and Sharia.

      • betty boyer

Sixty innocent Muslim were killed in 9-11- as were people from other nations, they were working at ground zero.

  • Joe Story

Our Sunni influenced president calls us the largest Islamic nation on earth. Governor Perry has befriended a branch of Shia Islam. As Islamic sects fight for control of the USA and the world, “WE THE PEOPLE” must decide what our founding fathers meant by “Freedom of Religion”. Did they mean secular humanism “freedom from Religion” where anything goes or did they mean Islam the strictest cult[1] known to man?
We continue to remove the biblical laws that define our existence from court houses[2] and embrace Sharia law. How much longer before we look like London in flames or one of the Stone Age countries of Islam?
Religion has never mattered more: to individuals, families and our society at large.

Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story wondered if we could survive as a nation if we did not teach our children about religion and morality as restraints upon the liberal sensual desires of freemen.

The central question of 2012 is how do “we the people” define Religion?
It now appears as only a matter of time until the United States of America, which Islam has “deemed amenable to take over action”, will be just another Islamic country. And as they say time is on their side. Why does no Islamic state in the world allow the Bible or open preaching of the Christian religion within its borders.

God is clearly giving us a choice as a nation.

What sets America apart from the rest of the world? Why is the United States of America the most powerful nation in history? The answer to both questions is the same, God’s blessings. We began as a Christian Nation based on the Biblical concept of freedom of choice.
Where do we want to go as a country? What happens if we turn our back on Christianity?

  • Jacqueline L

Sad as it is to say it in the “Land of the Free” but I do not trust any Muslims. The history of their sweep through the world is one of non acclimation. Where they go they attempt to infiltrate communities seeking conversions to Islam and implementation of the barbaric laws of Shari a. They do not, on the whole, make an effort to become part of the cultures of the countries they enter. Why then do they bother to move to these places? To convert them to their belief systems!
In the last decades of Islamic violence no concentrated group of Muslims has stood against terrorism. If there are any who do not agree with Jihad they seem to keep it a closely guarded secret. So how can any be fully trusted?

  • Joseph Tomanelli

CAIR should not exist. Islam is not a religion but a Nation that is an enemy of this country. They should have no status in the United States of America. They are enemies and treated as such.

    • Concerned in Daytona

How true. More honest words were never spoken. They only live to make the world submissive to Islam.

      • Otis P. Driftwood

Islam is nothing more than a warped, twisted 6th century ideology. And CAIR is just a front for them in America.

      • Very Worried

        So true !

This is scary! Their tactics are to infiltrate the most powerful organizations of the “enemy” (us Americans) and destroy them from within. They are patient and persistent. We make a lot of noise when we find out about the engineering of this malfeasance BUT then we forget and the Islamists continue with their mission. Look what happened with CPAC. The guy Suhail Khan is still part of CPAC. Key thing to note is that they follow Taqiyya where they lie. You may think that they are going along but in reality this is just for them to strengthen their position in the organization. Then comes the Saudi money and they buy elections and before you know it they are in control. BE FEARFUL! BE VERY FEARFUL !!!!!!

          NO iSLAM

    • http://graziella Antonio Sosa

You are right! Islam is NOT a religion, but an EVIL ideology akin to Marxism. In fact, our Islamic enemies are working with Marxists to destroy us.

Italy DENIES religious status to Islam because of “extremist imams, polygamy and failure to uphold women’s rights.”

We must do as Italy, DENY religious status to Islam, and VOTE only for those ready to defend us from the AIDS of Islam, which destroys and enslaves human beings and countries as it has destroyed and enslaved Somalia and Iran.

      NO Sharia!

If he wants a damn Islam club get his ass back across to the Islam state… Another foot in the door..
Because Americans have gotten so stupid they don’t read what is going on around the world…
Islam destroyed the twin towers. The stupid people in DC won’t even reopen that and come out with the
truth… All about the twin towers was a lie by omission… We know that, but, the dumb asses in DC don’t think anyone can figure that out. The people in the United States are like mushrooms now… Keep them in the dark and feed them shit… Well I for one am tired of DC and all the crap that comes out of it.. The people running are not different than Oblunder… Just tell them what they want to hear, look like your from

bunch of spineless politicians who just can’t say no… Islam is a government folks, it is everything to include
their religion… But first and far most it is a government.. How many governments in the United States do you want… How-about a mickey mouse government.. Wait can’t have that we already do… The Government has run this country into the ground and then go on a political rampage to tell everyone how they can fix it… Hell if they knew that they whey did they get us into this situation… Now Government lets stop being kids..
All parties are to blame.. Why??? be causes they were their party like a proud badge, right oner their heart. In fact it should be the American Flag right over their heart.. Until that happens we are sinking and will continue. America is so damn tired of herring politicians bull carp.. That is what it is… Let me tell you something, anyone can get on a platform and have all the planks in order for their speech… That is all it comes down to a speech.. We have seen that in the past and it will continue and people like little sheep will follow their chosen… When in fact they should be on their knees every day asking for God to take back the country. See God will not come back to America, American has got to go back to God. I have not faith in the people in DC anymore…. I will say this to Allen West… You lot me as a supporter…. Take the crap off your chest and just put the American flag there. You are not longer in the Military.. get out.. I have more to ware than you but I don’t run around every day showing it off to a bunch of civilians who have no clue what it is all about. You voted wrong, wrong, wrong.. You caved in… I can’t stand that… I don’t care how much Debbie Doous is blinded, one thing you can say for her is that she stands by her convictions. You know how much people study history… What is the Republican Party use to be the Democrat Party… Now go get you damn books out and read about that… Get you wannabe Islam head out you dark area and start being an American first…. God Bless the United States Of American and the Armed Forces…. Oh one last though for the dumb asses in Dc.. Stand in front of a mirror and point your finger at yourself.. Notice something very strange.. Look where the other fingers are pointing… You folks need to get out of the 8th grade and grow up..

Hamze will fit right in with the DeNapoli man child leadership. It makes sense that the weakest and the most dysfunctional REC in Florida was the target of CAIR. You target the weakest points in a war and, under the “leadership” of chairman DeNapoli, we’ve achieved that: be the laughing stock and the most pathetic ones in Florida, Hamze will easily use DeNapoli’s arrogance and self serving needs to pretty much turn BREC Into a bigger joke than it actually is.

    • TadM

      Most dysfunctional AND corrupt.

  • chip bertelle

CAIR is a terrorist organization that shouldn’t be allowed to exist in the US. Time and again they have been shown to have ties with Hamas and are a cancer on our society. DO NOT allow this scum bag to be a member of the Broward Republican Executive Committee!

  • harry houdini

CAIR will work within the “structure” of the party and methodically work its way into leadership. The next step is to offer candidates for office at the local and state level, then onto Congress. In forty years( two generations) their goal will be fully realized not just in Broward county but all over Florida. Lots of donations will come from Islamic physicians and Islamic professors who have the support of liberal college presidents and faculty members.

History will again repeat itself with one exception. The country that saved the world from the Nazi plague will not be able to confront its own menace from within!

  • Brian

Grow up! Not all Muslims are terrorists.

    • This is NUTS !!!!!

      • Amused

Anders Breivik, Tim McVeigh and Eric Rudolf were all Musim? Who told you that?

    • Coco The Blowfish

You are right, not all of them are, however their silence in condemning terrorist acts and cheering when others cause death is as bad. Prior ti 9/11, I worked with a gentleman from Lebanon (Muslim Lebanese), married to an Irish Catholic gal. It didn’t get any more “American” than him, Sunday NFL games, NBA, golf with his buddies, BBQ in his back yard. A few days after 9/11 attacks, we were commenting about them and he actually, while condemning the attacks, in the same sentence said “.. however, I can see why they did this”. Seriously, dude, wake up and smell the suicide bomb stench.

      • Stu

CoCo I don’t think they are all that silent. But the media doesn’t give them air time bcause it is not a “sexy” story.

        • Coco The Blowfish

Right after 9/11 they had the opportunity yet they were quiet. I don’t expect this from the ones living in Middle East but I do expect the ones living in US to condemn terrorism yet, just like Hamze, they try spinning the story or stay quiet. It is the deafening silence that speaks the truth.

    • Asher

Of course not. Look at what happened earlier today in Israel. Co-ordinated attacks in several different locations. How will CAIR respond…

    • Marie

Brian, I used to think the same thing… PLEASE look into the Muslim Brotherhoods 100 year plan, AKA “The Project”. Brigitte Gabriel is also a great source on this subject. Please do some indepth research and get more information to base your opinions on, you just might be shocked.

  • Barb

I don’t trust CAIR! The camel’s nose is under the tent! This is how they will get their candidates into office. Wake up!

  • Liz

CAIR is a well known for making money for terrorism and this documented.

For the BREC not to know that shows that new leadership is needed specially in this crucial election cycle.

    CAIR is the enemy.

  • Angela

If it’s that easy to get on the leadership committee then why don’t any of the concerned join along with him as a watchdog? Call me naiive but I think that the rest of the committee could do a good job watchdogging if the Broward members voice their concerns.

  • Admiral Ackbar

    “It’s a trap!”

If he is voted in, the group begins it’s descent into irrelevancy, and if he’s kept from joining, he gets to call everybody racists for keeping him out. Their going to call you racists anyway. Don’t fall for it.

  • JAB

Rick Perry has the right idea. Reach out to them. Let him join, and if he is rude to any of our elected representatives, then expel him. Any charge of racism will be proven wrong by the fact that he was allowed to join. We can expel members for disorderly conduct, can’t we? We should be able to, and if you have to pass a new resolution to that effect, then do it. This is politics, you know; you have to give him all the rope he needs to hang himself with, figuratively of course. Can he be admitted on probation?

  • Sherryl

As a former member of our local REC, correct me if I’m wrong, but someone cannot just “become a member” of an REC. It’s not a club. Members are Republican precinct committeemen and women who are normally voted in by the public during an election. And if this person wants to use the Republican name as part of his new group, doesn’t that have to be approved by the State RPOF? Folks cannot legally set up new groups using either Republican or Democrat in their titles. Sounds like that REC needs help with understanding their and the State’s constitution.

  • http://aol Shell holston

It is increasingly hard to trust a muslim due to the obvious actions around the world as well as in the USA. It appears they will all follow the Imams even when they are WRONG, and are always anti to any other religion or group outside their mosque. The noticeable activity they practice is infiltrate ANY group, organization or business in order to get a foothold or information they can glean which can, and often does, destroy from within. I am sorry I don’t trust any of them.

  • Maria

Once again this sorry excuse for a achairman of the BREC shows that he lacks balls in dealing with stuff like this. Way to go, idiot.

  • Bill

We must keep in mind 4 things about Islam. (1) Islam is a command-and-control religion from the top down. This means that all of life, including politics, is directed by Allah through the Koran and other recognized Islamic religious books like the Hadith. As such, Islam is as much about politics as it is about more religious activities like daily prayers, giving alms and the Ramadan ‘fast’. (2) Islam teaches the concept of ‘Taqiyya’, which says it is acceptable to say or do anything to defend Islam and its followers. Another way of saying it is to pretend to be friendly. (3)Dar al-Harb + jihad + Sharia = Dar al-Islam. Translated, this means House of war + struggle + Islamic Law = House of Islam. In essence, Muslims are taught to fight (be at war with) any government/country that is not Islamic for the purpose of making it Islamic. (4) Jihad can take on many forms. What Nezar Hamze is proposing is the “stealth” or “soft” version of jihad. It is infiltration for the purpose of eventual take over by Islam. Consider one final fact. Omar M. Ahmad, Chairman of CAIR, said this: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran…should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.” If Muslims don’t follow what they’re taught, they are ‘bad’ Muslims. That explains why Muslim-on-Muslim violence is much higher than Muslim-on-Christian violence. In Islam, there is no freedom of choice without punishment. Followers must follow the party line or else. There is no democratic country on the planet that has Islam for its religion. The two concepts are mutually exclusive.

    • JC

      Very well articulated !

  • Former BREC member

Republican Muslim is an oxymoron! I’m happier every day that I’m a FORMER BREC member.

What was Allen West’s answers to the question about ” where in the Koran does it say for muslims to kill infidels?” It is very clear in Surah 9:6–It says” Whenever the sacred months are over slay the infidels where ever you find them”. That’s pretty clear.
ALSO–In Surah 4:35 it( the Koran) says “As for those (wife) whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and forsake them in beds apart AND BEAT THEM”
And then can we trust Muslims? In the Haddith (Mohammed’s utterances) No. 6303 it says lying is permissable in three cases. They are: 1)In Battle
3)Narration of words between a husband and wife.
So the basic principle here is you can’t trust a Muslim as far as you can throw him. They are trying to infiltrate every organization in the US. BEWARE –BEWARE —BEWARE.

  • Steve

where is the leadership in the GOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why isn’t Chairman DeNapoli denouncing this individual?!

  • Bob

@Brian – You can deny reality all you want, but you cannot deny the consequences of denying reality.

Put down the bong, take off the Birkenstocks, and educate yourself as to the very real threat that is ORTHODOX ISLAM. Learn about dhimmitude, taqqiya, kitman, greater and lesser jihad, and the concept of abrogation. Learn that if there is a statement from the “moderate” Islamic community denouncing the killing of “Innocents”, understand that no non-muslim is considered innocent in Islam’s eyes.

Islam is anathema to America and the Constitution. To denounce it is no more racist than denouncing Communism, Leninism, pagan ritualistic human sacrifice, or any other ideology seeking the destruction of life and America.

True, not all muslims are terrorists. But it’s only a matter of time. Like a virus, they require time to multiply before their ill-effects are felt. When they reach critical mass, you won’t recognize this country.

  • Jeff

    GOP self-destruction.

  • Rose

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat the mistakes of history.

Islam is less than 2% of our population and look at all the noise and trouble they are causing. This is an excellent article detailing what lies ahead if we fail to recognize the threat and act accordingly.

  • George Blumel

The REC consists of individuals who are willing to work for election of Republican candidates. Our Party espouses a Constitutional Republic as the best form of government for our country. All who share our goals are welcome to participate. Those that want to come into the party as an organized group like the Muslims in this instance, or homosexuals or as a certain heritage should be told they are all welcome as INDIVIDUALS. We are Americans who firmly believe in individual rights, not group rights or privileges –that is the other party. Share our values and goals –you’re welcome; want to change our party for your group’s adantgage –go away. Outreach is different. That is where Republicans seek to get those in their affinity groups to join us in the good fight for individual freedom.

  • Vladimir Val Cymbal

This is ridiculous. A Muslim cannot have allegiance to anything but Islam. The Republican brand stands for the US Constitution and pledges to uphold the laws of our nation. Islam states that Sharia Law is above any man made law. Murder of raped women and others is permitted under Sharia Law so which laws do these Islamic Republican Club members support Sharia Law or our Constitution? The RNC should not allow these people to use the Republican brand name.

  • Interloper

It is a shame that the PUBLIC SCHOOLS can raise up a generation of warped voters in such a short space of time!!! They have completely forgotten 9-11 and now the politically correct Assholes want us to attone to them!!! What the Phuk is wrong here is it just me or do other people notice the same thing??????????????????

    • Nuts !

We are all noticing the same thing Interloper. Problem is that we are missing leaders with the fortitude to confront these bastards.

  • Nezar Hamze

    Greetings my fellow Republicans,

I look forward to working with all of you. I see most of you have drunk the anti_muslim kool-aid. Its okay though. Muslims are not monolithic in regards to political affiliation. Instead of posting these baseless comments about me on the internet, come speak with me at the next BREC meeting. I believe in our democratic republic, the values and principles of our conservative party.

I appreciate all the hard work you guys do.

    • Coco The Blowfish

Oh, Mr. Incredible, what values would those be? The moment history is brought up on the deeds of Islam, you start shrieking like a little girl and call people Islamaphobe. For you the TRUTH is HATE SPEECH.

      Spare me the hypocrisy!

    • Eduardo

Nezar, You’re antisemitic. Myself as the MAJORITY of Republicans support Israel. We don’t believe that the so-called “Palestinians” went from a couple hundred thousand to millions in 10 years. YOU’RE NOT A REPUBLICAN IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT ISRAEL. Do you? Do you agree any two-state solution must result in Israel’s retention of the Old City, NO RIGHT OF RETURN FOR so-called “PALESTINIAN” terrorists cough cough I mean refugees, and Israel keeping all defensive mountain ridges?

  • AJE

The Broward County Human Right Ordinance could possibly kick in to this challenge based on the fact that if any organization discriminated against a religious affiliated individual or club comprised of American citizens of a different faith and not, in this case, their political affiliation it may very well be a violation of the County charter.
This then becomes a legal issue that could wind up in the courts possibly costing thousands in fees during an election year. Then there is the liberal media and how Republicans would be painted not only in Yella-dog Broward County but elsewhere where independents are an important swing vote. One can possible address the Constitutional issue of “Freedom of Religion” hinged to “Freedom from Religious Persecution” which it a two way street when dealing with opposing parties and their beliefs.
After reading some of the comments, I remember the sign I saw in the Seventies when I lived there that stated “Century Villages Not Welcomed.” I recall being told, after inviting a person of color to a church dinner in the 60’s that “the individual was a descendent of the fallen angels.” Do any of you remember what they said when President Kennedy was elected about the Irish and the Papacy taking over the White House? Funny, Congressman E.Clay Shaw had a sign in his office that some of us old political activist may remember that demonstrated the prejudice he once addressed, “Irish Not Wanted.” A number of years ago when I went to N.W. Georgia heading to Copper Hill Tenn. with a Latino friend of mine we were told that he was not welcomed in the facility but I was.
Perhaps the Chairman and the BREC Board are a bit wiser than some would like to admit. Only time will tell but, for the good of the party and the country, let us all be guided in a righteous manner and direction.

    • A

AJE is 100% Correct. Those of you who have made the comments he referenced need to:

      1) Revise your “Christian” faith. I thought we were told to “love one another”. Jesus didn’t make any exceptions – not even the Romans who crucified him.

      2) Pick up a history book. The world did not start when you joined the Republican Party. It has been around a lot longer than all of us and doing just fine with the likes of Abe Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ronald Reagan. What would THEY say?

      3) Read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. If able. If you can read those reared documents and fail to realize that we stand for FREEDOM, EQUALITY, JUSTICE; for RESPECT for differences in matters of faith and politics, then you are probably just too stupid to belong to a political party at all. Move to Cuba. You don’t have to worry about politics there.

      • Bob

        1) Of course I love Namze and pray for his salvation. My Christian faith needs no “revision”. My Jesus also arose in anger to cleanse the Temple of the moneychangers. He also tells me not to become unequally yoked and not to cast my pearls before swine.

        2) That history book also tells me that islam has been at war with us since the 1780’s. Jefferson acquired his Quran not because he was so enlightened, but in following Sun Tzu’s maxim to know your enemy. Ever hear of the Barbary Pirates or wonder where that line in the Marine Corps Hymn about the “shores of Tripoli” came from?

3)”The Constitution is not a suicide pact.” I respect ALL religions except those that have as a major doctrine forced conversion or subjugation. I will stay right here, thank you. However, you are more than welcome to relocate to muslim majority country of your choice. Can you name one that has even 1/10th the freedom of the US?

        • Eduardo

Cair is Anti-Israel which is Anti-American!

        • A

Dear Bob: Kreep reading. If you still fail to see my point. STOP reading: it isn’t “taking”. A little knowledge IS a dangerous thing.

          • Bob

          • Bob

“A little knowledge IS a dangerous thing.”

            If only you were dangerous.

  • Eduardo

I suggest everybody calls the Broward Republican Party and complains about this today!

You people didn’t scream about calling BREC to complain when:
    – allegations of an improperly made loan in the amount of $18,000.00 were made;
    – BREC failed to report a $5,000.00 donation, got caught and had to correct their report;
    – Chairman Mao along with his Vice-Chairman for Rudeness and Treasurer (who isn’t much of a “Treasure”) decided that videotaping would no longer be allowed – WITHOUT any kind of vote by the members;
    – The Shark Tank was expelled from a number of meetings, making it obvious this rule applied only to him;
    – Treasurer McCarthy filed a false police report complaining of a “surreptitious taping” – in a public place;
    – when repeated calls for a forensic audit have gone unheeded by BREC- something which should make you wonder WHY???

AND YOU SCREAM FOR CALLING BREC just because somebody wants to join who is of a different religion? What a ^$%%^$-up sense of prioroties!

  • Steve

Doesn’t DeNapoli have a ‘close’ relationship with some Broward County judge-rumors are running wild about this one. There seems to be truth to this rumor

  • JC

@Steve – You are the 3rd person to say that. Tell us more PLEASE !!!

  • History

NOSTRADAMUS’ PROPHECIES – One of his prophecies states something to the effect that a bearded man will place Islam on the war path with the rest of the world and that will result in the end of Islam. Could it be that the world will wake up to the REAL THREAT that Islam is and will fight to bring an end to this nonsense that these idiots claim is a religion ? Could these confrontations between people like Hamze and the Patriotic, Liberty loving Americans be another step in that direction ?

  • Liz

I need the number to complain – we also need to email the Chairman!

  • Michael

Well BREC should interrogate him on his views.

    1) Why do you support CAIR and unindicted co co-conspirator in terrorism
    2) Do you condemn the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas
    3) Do you condemn Saudi Arabia’s policy of banning Christians from being citizens.
    4) Do you condemn Saudi Arabia’s policy of executing Christians who enter
    5) Do you condemn Saudi Arabia’s policy of banning Christian churches?

Following is a list of muslim terrorist attacks for this week. Do you condemn them all
2011.08.19 (Jamrud, Pakistan) – A devout Shahid detonates a ball-bearing packed suicide vest at a crowded mosque, slaughtering over forty others.
2011.08.19 (Kabul, Afghanistan) – Two Holy Warriors detonate themselves in front of the British council, killing three innocents.
2011.08.18 (Quetta, Pakistan) – A mosque official is gunned down by rivals.

CAIR/”Islamic Republican Club” infiltrating BREC? Not surprised to read this, but this cannot and must not happen. Brigitte Gabriel said it best: They Must Be Stopped.

  • Adam Ritner

This is not happening plain and simple. NO Way — NO How.

    Bet the house on that.

All Republicans should demand the chair of BREC oppose anyone affiliated from CAIR being part of the the movement. BREC should officially vote to condemn CAIR at its next meeting

Earlier this month, five Palestinian brothers were convicted in federal court of conspiring to use their Texas-based computer company to make illegal shipments of high-tech goods to Libya and Syria, two nations the State Department considers sponsors of terrorism. One of the brothers, Ghassan Elashi, the company’s vice president of international marketing, was convicted of three counts of conspiracy, one count of money laundering and two counts of making false statements about the shipments. Mr. Elashi, along with two of his brothers, also faces a separate federal trial on charges relating to business dealings with Mousa Abu Marzook, the deputy political leader of the terrorist organization Hamas. Mr. Elashi is also the founding board member of a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) chapter in Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News. In February 2003, the Muslim Legal Fund held a fund-raiser for the Elashi brothers, hoping to raise $500,000 for their defense. As the Morning News reported then, two of the Fund’s board of directors had ties to CAIR

What did CAIR say about Osama before most Americans knew his name

In reality, CAIR is something quite different. For starters, it’s on the wrong side in the war on terrorism. One indication came in October 1998, when the group demanded the removal of a Los Angeles billboard describing Osama bin Laden as “the sworn enemy,” finding this depiction “offensive to Muslims.

BTW the first time Muslims attacked the WTC

CAIR consistently defends other militant Islamic terrorists too. The conviction of the perpetrators of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing it deemed “a travesty of justice.” The conviction of Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind sheikh who planned to blow up New York City landmarks, it called a “hate crime.” The extradition order for suspected Hamas terrorist Mousa Abu Marook it labeled “anti-Islamic” and “anti-American.

I think its GREAT that a leader in the muslim religion wants to join the Broward REC! WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY! Republicans need to stop defining themselves as Christians and start defining themselves as REPUBLICANS. Attend the church of your choice, raise your children how you see fit and worship how and when you want but stop shoving Christianity in everyones face. STOP MAKING IT A MANDATORY FACTOR AS TO WHETHER ONE IS IN OR OUT. It is such a turn off (partiularly to the more tolerant young folk) and at this point it carries no water because so many do not practice what they preach.

If I am Jewish or Muslim and I believe in and live the principles the Republican Party espouses then I dont understand why so many of you choose to deny me, isolate me and spew such intolerance and ignorance (and talk trash behind my back or in anonymity on a public forum)

(and Kudos to “Brian” for telling so many on here to grow up. He must be a YR too. We’re tired of fighting the ignorant intolerance of those around us)

    • tuffone3

      Young Repub,
      Go join the democraps.

    • Jacqueline L

Great, then be prepared to fight the Islamic jihadists who move into your neighborhood and attack your wife and children for being indfidels. I am sure they will appreciate your “turning the other cheek” so they can smite that as well.

  • LORI

Hamze is best known for his confrontation with Congressman Allen West earlier this year during which he questioned West with a Koran in hand asking him to point out verses in the Koran where it tells believers to “kill Americans”.

Hamze, my boy, show me where it is in the Koran and let me ask YOU
why do your people kill Americans and others ?

  • Liz

Young Republican – you are young indeed.

  • tuffone3

    Islamic Republican. Horse shiite.

  • Danita Kilcullen

Chairman DeNapoli does not have the authority to “deny” Nezar Hamze anything, nor would Chip LaMarca have had that authority, nor would you or I. There is a process that any/every applicant must satisfy and have approved accordingly before the offer of membership. Chairman DeNapoli is not above BREC policy, nor is Hamze.
    Danita Kilcullen

    • No Fly Zone

Danita is correct in stating that Chairman DeNapoli does not have the right to deny membership if the applicant meets all qualifications. However we should all expect Mr. Hamze to abide by the Loyalty Oath and we should hold him to that Oath. As for a Muslim group within BREC well I think that would be a little reaching.

    • BREC Member

Wow Danita, we didn’t know you sympathize with DeNapoli and CAIR?!

  • John A

As a Florida Republican, I object to allowing this group into the Party. If they are allowed into the Party, I will leave the party.
Don’t the leaders see the sinister methods of the Islamists? It is a way for them to infiltrate their main opposition and erode it from the insided like a cancer. Our country and our citizens have been attacked too many times by Islamic terrorists, so they are not welcome here. I don’t trust them just because they want to be called Republicans.

  • AJE

Didn’t WASPS express the similar fear and hostility about Roman Catholics when President Kennedy ran for office and then got elected? Allegedly, “Rome would Rule” and Kennedy would be in lockstep with Papal dogma an affront to “Freedom of Religion” and Protestantism. Let’s not even address those who called Jews “Christ Killers.”
It is my understanding that if this Islamic-friendly group is interested in forming a club they must submit an application and that application must be signed by two authorized individuals on the board before it goes to the RPOF for official and formal chartering
As far as becoming a committee member, an individual must live in and represent a district where one is needed or where an individual wins an election to that position.
Most here who are preaching across-the-board disdain of all Muslims probably don’t know many or any at all. There is a big difference between those Republicans who, like Dr. King preached brotherly love espoused in the “Sermon on the Mount,” and the radical Rev. Farakhan who seeks purification with his corrupted vision of Islam. Muslims who do not preach terrorism and hate should not be demonized as un-American.
Astute activists should understand that the Chairman of BREC, regardless of all the vicious name calling and attacks against him, must obey County and State law and chartering requirements.
No. 1, in Broward you can’t discriminate because of religious affiliation, No. 2, the RPOF needs an approved and properly submitted application before a club charter can be issued, and, No. 3, any duly elected or appointed Republican who fills an empty committee position has every right to hold that position unless they violate their loyalty pledge or are duly removed from that position.
Steps 1 through 3 make sense while all the mean-spirited commentary and negativism espoused here, which seemingly doesn’t address the rules and laws that apply, appears to unveil a degree of bigotry which enables hate without reservation.
What better way to educate than through outreach and dialog, all of which has made American great and one of the most notable melting pots of the world all a result of our many Constitutional guarantees?

    • Independent33026

      Mr. Eddy,

What rock have you been under?? You left the Broward GOP to support Crist. The only way, your little, do nothing club was ever rechartered is because, you and your cronies rejoined BREC to cut a deal with DeNapoli, in exchange for your vote for his chairmanship, he would not resign the Charter of the other LGBT club. Deny it all you want, however, there are multiple emails from the past president of the club and DeNapoli stating, all the board of the Sunshine Republicans had to do was support him in his bid.

So, it is fair to say that the Sunshine Republicans should have filed a complaint with the Broward County Agency for Discrimination? Probably not in your opinion, because you have 2 sides of your mouth and you talk out of both!

  • Glenn T

Two things. 1) Group names are often deceptive. 2) While I would really like to see Muslim opposition to their radicals – if this would be such – I do not think it appropiate to have a religious group within a political group. We would hear plenty of wailing about a Republican-Christian group and rightfully so.

  • AJE

So Javier where is my post that was here just this morning… Did you remove?

  • Gayle Flaherty

You know what? I’m tired of being politically correct, tired of our president acting like Neville Chamberlain when it comes to Muslims, tired of hearing about a mosque near Ground Zero, and then the founders looking for federal money to boot.
CAIR is an enemy of ours. They espouse the overthrow of our government. Don’t let them in Broward Republicans.
All arounds us we see Saul Alinsky behavior. When will we wake up?

  • BREC Member

Is this Chairman Richard DeNapoli guy going to except this TERRORIST FRONT GROUP CAIR to join BREC? If so… This guy Richard needs to step down as the Chairman!

  • tuffone3

Yet another good reason to abandon the repugnican party. Like we needed another reason.

  • Independent33026

Funny how DeNapoli would not sign the charter for the LGBT – Gay Club in Broward County, but he will let a Muslim Club in…Can we say bigotry? Can we say hypocrisy? Can we say UNAMERICAN?

  • Interloper

islamic republicans are like satinists for Jesus

  • Lauri

What a bunch of ignorant fascists. Calls to mind Ghandis’ quote: “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ.”

  • Tim

I cannot believe the vitriolic horseshit on these posts about a Muslim wanting to join an executive committee of the GOP. I am the grandson of a naturalized immigrant from Syria who came to this country for a chance at the American Dream–a chance to make a better life for himself and his family. He fought in WWI for this country and was a strong member of the Republican party his entire life. He loved America and defended it at every opportunity. And he was a Muslim.

I am deeply involved in conservative causes throughout the US and am profoundly ashamed of all of you and your pedestrian, uniformed posts. They used to say the same bullshit about blacks and Jews. Looks like a great direction to take, idiots.

  • Michael

He is not eligible to be a member of the REC because he supports democrats against Republicans. His Facebook profile shows he supports Patrick Murphy for congress. Patrick Murphy, a proud union-supporting Democrat, is running to unseat Allen West a Republican.

Clearly this man is a liar who is simply trying to undermine the Republican party.

  • tim

I appreciate your comments, and assumed that was the case based on some of the posts above. Nonetheless, the tone of most of the posts have a clear message: Muslims not wanted in the GOP (or worse).

  • Ana Gomez-Mallada

Michael and Tim: Gentlemen having supported Democrats in the past does not disqualify anyone from membership in BREC. Any Registered Republican is eligible to join. Once he/she signs the loyalty oath THEN they may no longer support Democrats against Republicans. What they did in the past, before they signed the oath is not held against anyone. Further, I agree that religious affiliation is no bar to membership in BREC. Nor should it be.

Now, participating in unlawful activities THAT might be something to consider in keeping someone out, depending on what the illegal activity is and when it happened, etc. Additionally, becoming involved in illegal activities, after joining BREC, even minor crimes such as giving false information to the police can and indeed SHOULD be cause for removal. That should depend again, on what the criminal activity is and when it happened and how it reflects on the person’s character.

  • Religion of Peace… B.S.

“TAQIYYA” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

Falsehoods told to prevent the denigration of Islam, to protect oneself, or to promote the cause of Islam are sanctioned in the Qur’an and Sunna, including lying under oath in testimony before a court, deceiving by making distorted statements to the media such as the claim that Islam is a “religion of peace”. A Muslim is even permitted to deny or denounce his faith if, in so doing, he protects or furthers the interests of Islam, so long as he remains faithful to Islam in his heart.

Like many Islamic practices, taqiyya was formed within the context of the culture of Arab tribalism, expansionary warfare, Bedouin raiding and inter-tribal conflict. Taqiyya has been used by Muslims since the 7th century to confuse, confound and divide ‘the enemy’.
